Slidescape is a free online strategy board game inspired by Chickapig. Guide your flock of penguins across a shared ice board, weaving past ice blocks and a roaming elephant seal, and race to escape your penguins through your own goal before your opponents escape theirs. Play right in your browser — no download and no sign-up.

How to play

On your turn you roll for a number of moves and spend them sliding your pieces. A penguin slides in a straight line until it is stopped by another piece, an ice block, the elephant seal, a fence, or the board edge. Line your penguins up with your goal lane and slide them out to score. Ice blocks and the elephant seal can be nudged to build paths for yourself or to block opponents. First player to escape their target number of penguins wins.

Game modes

• Beginner — a quick two-player game, first to escape 4 penguins.
• Standard — a deeper two-player game to 10 escapes.
• Classic — a four-player free-for-all.

Play against AI or friends

Play solo against Slidescape's AI opponents, create a private room to play with friends using a room code, or jump into public matchmaking to face other players online.
